Pastor Kirklyn J. Collie is privileged to be the Senior Pastor of the Abundant Grace Church, and he is excited about what God is doing in and through the ministry.
He was born in Betsy Bay, Mayaguana to his parents, Stanley Collie and Ena Charlton nee White. He accepted Christ as his Lord and Saviour at the age of 13 at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church in his community. He was determined to see the goodness of God in his life and decided to move to Nassau for better opportunities. On the day he was leaving Mayaguana, his grand aunt said these words to him, which have been with him ever since, “Take the name of Jesus with you, child of sorrow and of woe. It will joy and comfort give you, take it wherever you go”. These are words that have kept him ever since.
He received his early education from the Pirates Well and Betsy Bay All Age Schools in Mayaguana. He entered CC Sweeting High School in grade 12 after moving from Mayaguana and was elected President of the Gavel Club as well as a leader in the Student Christian Movement. He later became involved in Toastmasters after graduating from high school.
Pastor Collie graduated from The College of the Bahamas and later moved on to Nova Southeastern University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Professional Management. He later graduated from the University of Miami where he earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a concentration in International Business. He also graduated from Regent University where he earned a Master of Arts degree in Pastoral Counseling. In May 2017, he completed a Doctor of Ministry degree from Bethany Divinity College and Seminary, where he received Honours and special recognition for his doctoral dissertation on “A Plan to Develop a Homeless Care Partnership Strategy for the Church, the Community, and the Government”. Pastor Collie also received Biblical training from Telios Theological Institute and Dallas Theological Seminary.
Pastor Collie is a certified Lean Six Sigma Professional (Pivotal Resources and Purdue University) and a member of the International Society of Six Sigma Professionals. He is a trained Process Engineer. He is also a Certified International Project Manager (CIPM) and a Fellow of the American Academy of Project Management. Pastor Collie was appointed a Justice of the Peace for the Commonwealth of the Bahamas in December 2023. Pastor Collie worked at the Bahamas Telecommunications Company (BTC) for more than 28 years
where he served in various capacities. He has been blessed and honored to not only minister to many church congregations in the Bahamas, but also in the USA, and to various government and private schools in the Bahamas.
He is married to Sheena Antonio-Collie, and he is the father of three children, Kayshannique, Kavon, and Shiloh.
